Hello there!
Welcome to issue #16 of the eOpinion Sunday 7!
As always, firstly some housekeeping – here is Friday’s Daily eOpinion if you didn’t get round to it.
Secondly, we are running a competition on our social profiles around the Euro 2020 final this evening. Check them out for a chance to win one of ten £25 Amazon Vouchers. ⚽️
If you have been forwarded the Sunday 7 by email or seen it on social media somewhere, there’s a sign-up form at the end so you can receive it directly next time. I don’t want you to worry unnecessarily about missing it in the future! 😀
Here is our round-up from this week, enjoy!
1. Errrr, is it coming home? ⚽️
Unless you have been living under a rock these past few days, you’ll be well aware Harry Kane and co. are playing in a major tournament final for the first time in 55 years this evening.
We put it to the eOpinion tribe to see what they thought the result would be.
It’s a bit close to call for my liking but I’ll be watching and cheering on, from behind the sofa most likely! 😬
2. No surprises here! 🤔
I’m filing this one under no s**t Sherlock!
A poll conducted by YouGov has found that Gareth Southgate has a more favourable rating (66%) as a leader than both Boris Johnson (39%) and Keir Starmer (26%).
Will it still be the case tomorrow morning? I hope so! 🤞
Read the story here.
4. Lost? 🗺
Despite the rise in the use of map apps, research by Ordnance Survey has found that we are better at navigation than you may think. 🧭
Half of us are confident using a compass, 70% of Gen Z claim to be confident map readers and 16% say they never use a physical map. (I’m surprised that the last one is even that high if honest. 😮
Find out more on the story here.
6. Nation of selfless souls! 🙏🏼
Selfish is a word thrown around a lot these days but a survey by MedicAlert has shown that many of us put others health ahead of our own.
However, only 32% of people feel they can be open and honest with others about their medical conditions.

7. Dogs are not just for a pandemic! 🐶
A bit of a sad one to finish with this week I’m afraid.
When the pandemic hit, lots of people rushed out to get a dog.
A survey by The Kennel Club has found that 17% of those people have admitted rehoming their pooches post-lockdown.
For more details on this story including half of Scots saying not enough businesses accommodate dogs, you can click here.
Thank you for having a read of our Sunday 7. I hope you found it a little bit interesting and entertaining.
If there is someone you know that you think would like it, I’d be more than happy for you to share it with them.
We’ll be publishing these each week so if you happen to see something that you think should be included, feel free to let us know. There are plenty of ways to get in touch or you can tweet me directly here.
I hope you have a great week and please sign up below if you haven’t done so already. The eOpinion tribe is always on the lookout for new members who have a valuable opinion to share.
All the best,
Chris 😀
