Sunday 7 - Issue #36 | eOpinion

1. TikTok Tops

New research from Forrester has found that the social media app TikTok has taken over Instagram usage in 12 – 17 year olds. TikTok is one of the fastest growing social media platforms in the world, particularly among the Gen Z population. Which is why we have jumped on the bandwagon, you can find us on TikTok at @eopinion, promise we’re not cheugy!

*Cheugy is a slang adjective mocking someone or something as “uncool”—they are out of touch with current trends or trying too hard to be trendy. Similar slang terms are basic or normie.

2. Stalking Spouses

Kaspersky’s recent survey makes Instagram stalking seem like child’s play. The cybersecurity company revealed the amount of people that have installed stalkerware on their partner’s phone. 3. Dating exit surveys

A 26 year old woman has posted a TikTok detailing her recent dates ‘exit survey’. Katrina was sent the survey by her date Graham after a cinema date, in which he asked for feedback and included a rating from charming to awkward. The pair are still dating, so I guess you can deem the bold move successful, although I’m not sure I’d want to know the feedback from the last guys I dated.

BUT if you are looking for a dating ‘exit survey’ get in touch we would be more than happy to offer a personalised eOpinion speedy poll on the house.

The survey analysed car models, colours, and fuel types. Advice for those looking to avoid psychopaths, you’re safe with those driving red petrol Skodas but keep away from gold electric cars with personalised number plates.

7. Have you experienced JOCO?

The Joy Of Cancelled Outings. Brits love ducking out of plans claims the recent survey from OnePoll. Is there any better feeling than an event being cancelled last minute that you were dreading having to go to? With 58% of us agreeing to social plans we have then gone on to regret, it’s no wonder that such a high proportion of us have experienced JOCO.

Read more about JOCO here.
